What this tool does
Adds page numbers to an existing PDF. Choose the position, the starting number, and the format.
When to use Add Page Numbers
- • Audit and submission bundles. Auditors, courts and regulators frequently require sequential numbering across a bundle so that any page can be referenced unambiguously.
- • Merged documents. Combining several files produces a document with no consistent numbering, or with each source document's own numbering restarting partway through.
- • Contracts and agreements. Numbered pages make it far harder to substitute or remove a page unnoticed.
- • Any document you will discuss. "Page 34" is a great deal more useful than "the section about delivery terms."
